The Russian iris Society annually conducts two competitions (soil tests) in the class of Tall Bearded irises – Moscow and Kuban. Competitions are held on the basis of specially designed Provisions. Each year the judges of the RIS are defined winning cultivars of these contests. The results are published in the RIS Bulletin. Moscow Competition is international and the authors of the winning cultivars will be sent the appropriate medals.
